John Carroll is a seasoned executive with over two decades of leadership in the Equipment Valuation and Disposition industry. His career began on the East Coast, where he developed deep operational and transactional expertise under the mentorship of industry icon Tom Gagliardi Sr. He went on to serve as an Equipment Appraiser at Ernst & Young LLP in New York, where he built a strong foundation in asset valuation and advisory services.

In 1996, John relocated to Silicon Valley to expand his domain expertise, joining Koll-Dove—a nationally recognized firm specializing in technology equipment valuation and auctions. As the company transitioned into DoveBid, John emerged as a key leader, helping scale the business into the world's largest industrial auction platform. He was instrumental in launching the company's first webcast and online auction, spearheading digital innovations that reshaped the industry model.

Over a 14-year tenure, John built and led DoveBid's top-performing sales division, managing a team of 40 professionals and delivering record-setting profitability for five consecutive years. His ability to drive growth, optimize team performance, and execute high-stakes transactions positioned him as a critical force behind the company's global expansion.

In 2010, John founded Silicon Valley Disposition with a clear vision: to modernize asset disposition through technology, transparency, and customized client solutions. Under his leadership, the firm has become a trusted partner to Fortune 500 companies and middle-market clients alike—offering strategic guidance, end-to-end disposition services, and innovative go-to-market solutions tailored to today's complex business environment.

John is a proud graduate of the University of Rhode Island. He currently resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife Jennifer and their three boys.
